however! I don't endorse blanket "marry her" advice, for the following obvious-if-you-think-about-it reason:

I'm in favour of encouraging guys to man up and get married, but often this is phrased as "marry her", and uhhh...    ...just because she's your gf, doesn't mean you screened her to be mother of your kids. might need a break-up and a new start.
