I'm trying out an online autism test (embrace-autism.com/raads-r/#test) > I have never been interested in what most of the people I know consider interesting. This Q is interesting because it's defined in reference to "most of the people I know", which if you're hanging w all NDs...

I really like how all the Q options are just these: a) True now and when I was young b) True only now c) True only when I was younger than 16 d) Never true no abstract scale quantities for "strongly" agreeing, but still more subtlety than just y/n. very nice design.

> It is difficult to figure out what other people expect of me. Ooooooh this is interesting. I've been thinking a lot lately in terms of the loose 3-part id/ego/superego model, and this would map onto superego or maybe the ego/superego interface.

> I feel very comfortable with dating or being in social situations with others. Are there literally ANY 14-year-olds who feel comfortable with dating? I find that unfathomable. I feel like even the successful kids have no idea what they're doing. Tell me if you know otherwise!

> I miss my best friends or family when we are apart for a long time. pretty confused about this one. I've definitely missed lovers when apart for a long time. less-so family, partly from a sense of wanting independence. friends... I mean yeah. but depends on what I'm up to.

reading the comments below the quiz & I'm wincing seeing people ask "my score is X, am I autistic?" and the site editor be like "it’s fairly likely you could be autistic. However, a single test cannot confirm autism." as if it was a real category with a clear fact-of-the-matter
