Shoutout to @Meaningness, whose writing on the fluid mode was part of what helped me figure some of this stuff out. I think that my post itself is also a contribution to the ongoing quest to articulate meta-systematicity.

What I like about this comic—one thing, at least—is that it's still post-regret in the sense that it's not looking for the RIGHT thing to do; it's not fix oriented. Perhaps there are two sane do-over stances, one being to do everything the same; the other, nothing
