This sounds like an awesome & timely course, organized in a great format! I just applied to be a coach, since this whole thing is right up my alley. 🔥🚀🫂

I’m launching a cohort-based course called The Minimalist Entrepreneur. It will consist of 8 live classes, covering everything I’ve learned building a business like @gumroad. We'll hold you accountable with hands-on projects and an active community. sahillavingia.com/course

Here's a thread I wrote about similarities and differences between my approach and @shl/@gumroad's. (The differences aren't a critique, just a difference in priority—his approach will probably work better more mainstreamly.)

Whoaaaa this article about how Gumroad works is very cool. I resonate so hard with "freedom at all costs." Very much how I created @CompliceGoals and how I've continued to run it. Lots of inspiration here for my meta-team concept too. 🧵 sahillavingia.com/work

I've also recently been talking with someone who's part of a successful worker's co-op, and that has me curious what Gumroad is doing at this point with whatever extra money it has after paying its employees. Maybe it goes to Sahil, who then reinvests it? shl.vc

This is very much my aesthetic as well!

@yashkaf I have a shortlist of people I want to buy out of their dayjobs so they can do interesting stuff full-time. That's the main reason I would like to have 10-100× as much money as I do now.

Ah I bomped around searching a bit and found this—I think he's talking about reinvesting in Gumroad itself. So maybe the investments mentioned above actually come from other funders?

Sahil Lavingia @shl ·

@revnreddy We reinvest net.

Anyway, this course sounds awesome. Hope to see some of you there as participants or fellow coaches. It's time to build.
