Why tarot makes sense to me and astrology doesn't

@RomeoStevens76 it just doesn't feel like you get any insight from it personality tests are wobbly but at least they ask you questions about yourself and then put you in a category astrology feels like rolling a D12 and deciding to describe yourself on its terms

@MasterTimBlais @RomeoStevens76 tarot makes sense to me because it's kind of inherently immediately interactive & random and I've never heard anyone claim a causal connection it's like listening to your music library on shuffle and noticing what resonates and what memories & hopes & fears arise

@MasterTimBlais @RomeoStevens76 I continue to think astrology is bad, in part because of a specific horrifying incident where at age 14 I listened to a detailed chart my astrologer uncle had done for me at birth (recorded to cassette) and was SO GLAD my parents hadn't taken it seriously because it so wasn't me.

@MasterTimBlais @RomeoStevens76 So people can fuck right off with their "you need more than sun sign". Either there's a causal chain and it should all check out and be consistent, OR using more than sun sign is just getting more randomness, in which case why not just use tarot?

@MasterTimBlais @RomeoStevens76 (I have very few enemies, astrology is one 😅)
