Wanting kids: distinguishing fear from genuine lack of desire

I think it would be good for more people to have more kids I don't think it would be good for anybody to have kids who doesn't want to I think most who don't think they want to are actually: - confusing fear for lack of desire - rationalizing some external meme as their nondesire

I also don't think anybody should have kids WHILE they're in this particular state of confusion and I'm not intending to sow self-doubt. on the contrary, I'm saying "listen & discern your own fear, desire & received-knowings... and holding all of these together, consider."

(& I'm not claiming that for each person, that if they reflect in this more integrated way, they'll conclude they want to have kids!)

if it feels like something needs to be said but it also really feels like it should go without saying say it anyway

oh or another reason someone might not have a sense of wanting to have kids was that they haven't met a person they'd wanna have kids with yet. that seems to me like totally a thing! (my desire to have kids went from "hmm probably" to "omg yes" that way)

demisexual but for wanting to have kids not "I want to have kids" in abstract but "I want to have kids with you"
