Married @utotranslucence this week in the presence of a hundred people we love ❤️‍🔥 to have and to hold from this day forward, in gain and in loss, in fame and in insignificance, when blamed and when praised, in pleasure and in pain, until death do us part.

@utotranslucence holy wedlock is one of the deepest human mysteries one that we're now exploring together from inside although we've already explored a lot on the way in!

@utotranslucence something that was striking to me was how much the wedding (and the days together around it) was about weaving together our families and friendgroups it was beautiful and humbling to watch the social fabric rearrange itself to make us a family

"were thinjking of just having a small wedding" = we are not pillars of our community and there is no great political alliance to be found in the union of our family lines

@utotranslucence this is much more obvious to me now after my own wedding! fortunately I/we designed it in ways that were really conducive to this before I'd experienced just how powerful it could be (Yatharth was at my wedding retreat when he made this observation)

this is already obvious to some people, but weddings are community events. they are fundamentally about a introducing a union to a community that will hopefully support them

@utotranslucence wrote a new verse of IWBIL for the occasion (wrote most of it on @m_ashcroft's balcony late one night when I was staying at his place in London in Sept)

In some sense I love everyone, but not every love is the same As the quest I am called to, hearing the sound of your name Two become one become many, seeds become trees And I'm bound to love you forever, a tether that frees ♫ x.com/Malcolm_Ocean/…
