@HephaistosF like that noticing the mechanicalness? it's very new, based on this stuff 👇

Michael Smith @Morphenius ·

"Get in your body" is weaksauce. BE "the body". What the heck is talking like it's trying to "get into" me? Oh. Thoughts. Those thin whispy things. I'M ALREADY HERE. But I do like my mind remembering THAT I'm right here! That makes my mind more a more helpful tool.

@HephaistosF anyway, let me recall... I was sort of referring to everybody initially, then I was orienting to one particular reply... and looking at like, the structural interface of the distrust something I learned as part of the NNTD insight was to notice how unintended meanings matter

@HephaistosF so like, if in someone else's frame the move that I'm making lands as a gaslighting call-out, then even if I didn't intend that, then that's still a level of interpretation I created and it has an effect and I need to own the effect otherwise I'm kind of blind

@HephaistosF so anyway, I was trying to see the worldview that could have even generated "justified" and paricularly "gaslighting" in that context, since mine wouldn't've and I felt a sense of like, the kind of speech act that I did, from that perspective... and the necessary response to it

but the whole thing was very, yeah, as I said, mechanical, like it was kind of like "oh, they made this move, so the countermove is that move", not actually a felt sense of even quite engaging with something on the level of meaning/awareness/intent/care

@HephaistosF I think this also partially had to do with the fact that the people who were replying to me weren't OP, so it's like... what were they defending? some larger territory, on behalf of something.
